Cineliteracy can be implemented at all stages of schooling from Stage 1 to Stage 6. These materials have been designed to assist teachers to develop stage appropriate units of work.

Use these materials in conjunction with the information in Planning units/lessons in the Getting started section of the CD-ROM.

There are eight focus areas in the teaching materials. These are colour-coded throughout the resource. It is suggested that in developing units of work that one or more activities from each of the focus areas are used.

There are three downloadable Acrobat pdf files in each focus area:

  1. Teacher information: important  background information and links to web-based resources and information
  2. Activities: teaching and learning ideas
  3. Activity sheets: printable sheets for use with the teaching and learning ideas.

The DVD in this kit includes student-produced films and materials that support the teaching and learning activities.
